Terms and conditions of sale

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This translation is provided for your convenience. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails.

1. Scope

These terms and conditions of sale (the “terms”) apply to sales concluded on the Trovenza online shop between 2THEMOON (the “seller”, whose details are given in the legal notice) and any individual buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession (the “customer”).

The terms can be accessed at any time at the bottom of every page of the website, and you can save or print them. The terms that apply to an order are those online at the time it is placed.

2. Products

The shop offers:

  • digital products: books and activity workbooks in PDF format, to download and print at home;
  • physical products, delivered by carrier, where their product page says so.

The main characteristics of each product (for a book, its content, format, number of pages and language; for an item, its dimensions and materials) are set out on its product page.

The PDF files open in any standard PDF reader, on a computer, tablet or phone, and can be printed on a home printer. No customer account or special software is needed.

Each file contains a “Licence terms” page setting out the permitted use: personal and family use or, for some books, use with your own teams or groups, with printing as many times as needed for that use. Sharing, reselling or publishing the file, in whole or in part, is prohibited.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes (VAT included at the applicable rate). The price charged is the one shown on the product page at the time of the order.

There is no delivery charge for a digital product. For a physical product, the price shown includes delivery; where a “Pack of 2” offer is available, its total price is shown on the product page.

Depending on your country, the payment page may offer to let you pay in your own currency: the converted amount is then shown before you pay.

4. Placing an order

To order:

  1. choose the product and, for a physical product, the quantity;
  2. for a digital product, tick the box by which you ask to receive the file immediately and waive your right of withdrawal (section 8);
  3. click the buy button: you are taken to the secure payment page of our payment provider Stripe, which summarises the product, the quantity and the total price;
  4. enter your email address and, for a physical product, your delivery address and phone number (requested by the carrier), then check these details and correct them if necessary;
  5. confirm the payment.

The contract is concluded as soon as the payment is accepted. A confirmation page then shows your order number, and an order confirmation is sent to you by email. For a digital product, this confirmation restates your consent to immediate download and your waiver of the right of withdrawal.

5. Payment

Payment is due immediately when you order. It is made on Stripe's secure page, by payment card or with the other payment methods offered there depending on your country and device. You enter your card details directly with Stripe: they are never passed on to us.

6. Delivery of digital products

The file is available as soon as the payment is accepted: a “Download my PDF” button appears on the confirmation page, and the download link is also included in the confirmation email. The link remains usable as long as the order has not been refunded. We recommend saving the file to your device as soon as you receive it.

If you have any difficulty downloading or opening the file, write to us (see our Contact page) and we will help you retrieve it.

7. Delivery of physical products

Physical products are delivered to the address given at payment, in the countries offered on the payment page. They are shipped directly by our supplier. Where the carrier provides a tracking number, we send it to you by email.

Before you order, the product page shows the expected delivery period (“Delivered between … and …”): we undertake to deliver within that period. If no date were shown, delivery would take place no later than 30 days after the order, under Article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation).

If the product is not delivered on time, you may ask us, by email or by post, to deliver it within a reasonable additional period. If it is still not delivered within that new period, you may terminate the contract; you may terminate it immediately if we refuse to deliver or if the delivery date was an essential condition of the contract for you. We will then refund all sums paid no later than 14 days after the contract ends (Articles L216-6 and L216-7).

The risk of loss of or damage to the product passes to you when you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), take physical possession of it (Article L216-4).

8. Right of withdrawal (right to cancel)

Physical products

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason and without bearing any costs other than those set out below. This period runs from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the product; for an order of several products delivered separately, from receipt of the last one (Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code).

To exercise this right, inform us of your decision before the period expires by an unequivocal statement, by email or by post (details on our Contact page), using our withdrawal form if you wish.

Then send the product back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after informing us of your decision, to the address we give you. You bear the direct cost of returning it.

We will refund all sums paid, including delivery, no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision, using the same means of payment as for the order. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product back or until you have supplied evidence of having sent it, whichever is earlier (Article L221-24).

You are liable only for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning (Article L221-23). The right of withdrawal does not apply in the cases listed in Article L221-28, for example to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Digital products

A downloadable PDF file is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Before ordering it, you tick a box by which you ask to receive it immediately and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal; a file cannot be ordered without ticking this box. Your consent is then confirmed to you in the order confirmation email. In accordance with Article L221-28(13) of the French Consumer Code, you therefore have no right of withdrawal for digital products.

This does not deprive you of the legal guarantees described in section 9: a file that is defective or does not match its description must be brought into conformity or refunded.

9. Legal guarantees

All our products are covered by the legal guarantees, which you can claim from 2THEMOON: write to us (see our Contact page) stating your order number and the problem you have encountered. The shop does not offer any commercial guarantee in addition to these legal guarantees.

Physical products: legal guarantee of conformity and guarantee against hidden defects

The consumer has a period of two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date on which it appeared.

Where the contract of sale of the goods provides for the supply of digital content or a digital service on a continuous basis for a period of more than two years, the legal guarantee applies to that digital content or digital service throughout the intended period of supply. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or digital service and not the date on which it appeared.

The legal guarantee of conformity obliges the trader, where applicable, to provide all updates necessary to keep the goods in conformity.

The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the goods repaired or replaced within thirty days of their request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to them.

If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the original guarantee.

If the consumer requests repair of the goods but the seller imposes replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for a period of two years from the date on which the goods are replaced.

The consumer may obtain a reduction in the purchase price by keeping the goods, or terminate the contract and obtain a full refund in return for returning the goods, if:

1. The trader refuses to repair or replace the goods;

2. The repair or replacement of the goods takes place after a period of thirty days;

3. The repair or replacement of the goods causes significant inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer permanently bears the costs of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or bears the costs of installing the repaired or replacement goods;

4. The lack of conformity of the goods persists despite the seller's unsuccessful attempt to bring them into conformity.

The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination of the contract. The consumer is then not required to request repair or replacement of the goods first.

The consumer is not entitled to terminate the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.

Any period during which the goods are out of use for repair or replacement suspends the remainder of the guarantee period until the goods are delivered back in working order.

The rights mentioned above result from the application of Articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation).

A seller who in bad faith obstructs the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to up to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L. 241-5 of the French Consumer Code).

The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for a period of two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept or to a full refund in return for returning the goods.

Digital products: legal guarantee of conformity and guarantee against hidden defects

The consumer has a period of two years from the supply of the digital content or digital service to obtain the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. For a period of one year from the date of supply, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date on which it appeared.

The legal guarantee of conformity entails the obligation to provide all updates necessary to keep the digital content or digital service in conformity.

The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay following their request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to them.

The consumer may obtain a price reduction by keeping the digital content or digital service, or may terminate the contract and obtain a full refund in return for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:

1. The trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;

2. Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity is unjustifiably delayed;

3. The digital content or digital service cannot be brought into conformity without costs being imposed on the consumer;

4. Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity causes significant inconvenience to the consumer;

5. The lack of conformity of the digital content or digital service persists despite the trader's unsuccessful attempt to bring it into conformity.

The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination of the contract. The consumer is then not required to request that the digital content or digital service be brought into conformity first.

Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is entitled to cancel the contract only if the contract does not provide for payment of a price.

Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable for the purpose of bringing it back into conformity suspends the remainder of the guarantee period until the digital content or digital service is supplied in conformity again.

The rights mentioned above result from the application of Articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation).

A trader who in bad faith obstructs the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to up to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code).

The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for a period of two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is kept or to a full refund in return for giving up the digital content or digital service.

10. Customer service, complaints and mediation

For any question or complaint, write to us (details on our Contact page) stating your order number.

In the event of a dispute, after sending us a written complaint, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator with a view to resolving the dispute amicably (Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

Mediation is optional: you may also bring the matter directly before the competent courts (section 12).

11. Personal data

The data collected to process your order is used as described in our privacy policy.

12. Governing law, jurisdiction and language

These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.

In the event of a dispute, you may bring proceedings, at your choice, before any of the courts having territorial jurisdiction under the French Code of Civil Procedure or before the court for the place where you were living when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred (Article R631-3 of the French Consumer Code). If you live in another country, you may also bring proceedings before the courts of the place where you live, where the applicable European or international rules allow it.

These terms are available in French, English, German, Spanish and Italian. If these versions differ, the French version prevails.
