Training night, and the session isn’t ready
You coach a youth team, usually on top of work and family. Sessions get planned at the last minute and the same games come back every week. Line-ups end up on scraps of paper, and by June nobody remembers who came or how many minutes each child played.
One workbook for the whole season
The workbook brings together 40 drills, from warm-up games to goalkeeping. Each one gives the age group, time, number of players, area and equipment, with a diagram seen from above. You then plan your sessions on the session plans, record your matches on the match sheets and tick off attendance in the register.
What's inside
Drills matched to age
Every drill says whether it suits U7-U9, U10-U13 or both, with an easier and a harder variation so you can adjust it to your group.
A clear diagram for every drill
All diagrams are drawn from above with the same symbols, explained at the start of the book. Numbers on the diagram follow the steps of the drill.
Sessions that are easy to build
One page explains how a session flows: warm-up, two drills, final game. Three complete sample sessions are included, and 30 blank plans are waiting for yours.
Everyone’s minutes recorded
Each match sheet has room for the line-up, subs, minutes played per player, scorers and assists, so you can check that everyone gets game time.

Questions
How do I get the workbook?
As soon as your payment goes through, you can download the PDF. Nothing is posted: you print it yourself.
Can I print it on A4?
Yes. The pages are US Letter size (21.6 × 27.9 cm). On an A4 printer, choose “Fit to page”: the page is scaled down by about 3% and stays easy to read. A black-and-white printer is all you need.
Which age groups is it for?
The drills are marked U7-U9 (12 drills), U10-U13 (21 drills) or both (7 drills). The book follows French age groups, which go by calendar year rather than school year, so they line up with English age groups give or take a few months. Small-sided formats vary from country to country, so the match sheet only asks you to fill in the boxes your format uses.
Is it a translation?
Yes. It is the English edition of “Le cahier du coach de football – U7 à U13” by Zé (Éditions Zé), translated and adapted for English-speaking coaches. Same 118 pages, same diagrams. The PDF opens with the colour cover, then a licence page: use with your own teams, print as often as you need, no sharing of the file.
Can I print the sheets again next season?
Yes, for your own use: reprint the session plans, match sheets and attendance pages as often as you need, for another team you coach or for next season. The file must not be shared or resold.
Is it linked to the FA or a league?
No. It is an independent workbook by Zé, with no official endorsement. Always follow the rules of your own league and club.
